Essay 2 Plan
My plan with essay two is to go with option two. I just found the blog that I am going to look at using West's framework today. Other than that I haven't done squat with it. I plan on using the charts West used in her article for analyzing the blog I'm looking at which is called "The Biased Video Gamer Blog." from what I've looked at it is two guys reviewing games and talk about their experiences with gaming and gaming related events. right now I'm struggling with getting started just thinking of my thesis and what my main points are going to be.

Tyler, I am kind of at the same stage you are write now. Just trying to get started and come up with a real identity for my blogger, except in my case I am the blogger. I think this essay is going to be harder to write than the first one, but I think it is a great idea to to use the table to West's article. It is a really great tool and I think it will making discovering the identity of your blogger a little easier!

ReplyDeleteWhen I get stuck on narrowing the focus for the thesis, I just go back to my data and start writing up the analysis to get my mind working. After I have a bunch of analysis paragraphs drafted, I go back and see if a coherent thesis exists yet. I hope that helps. :)
Did you make some decisions about your essay? I don't see a writer's memo that will help readers focus their energy when they review your essay. Did you already speak to your readers offline? Since you haven't created a post asking for feedback, readers may not be sure where to post their comments.
